Why isn't Wales considered by everyone to be England's first colony?

Why isn't Wales considered by everyone to be England's first colony? Anything that isn't written by the Welsh themselves completely ignore Wales when this question is raised. The conquest of Wales and eventual occupation exceeds every condition or definition of a colony, Wales remained so up until gaining devolution in 1998.   A colony is  a country or area under the full or partial political control of another country and occupied by settlers from that country. Since before the conquest we saw areas of Wales being colonised by Normans , they removed the native Welsh from their lands, built castles and towns and moved in English and Flemming, After Llywelyn's first war, Longshanks started doing the same and by 1282 he went into overdrive, for example , around Denbigh 10,000 acres was taken from the natives and given to English settlers, then we have Conwy, Caernarfon among others that the Welsh were excluded from, this happened in every corner of Wales.  In the 1295 ...

  Gruffudd ap Cynan  1055 – 1137 His father was  Prince, Cynan ap Iago Gruffudd's mother was Ragnailt ingen Amlaíb, a granddaughter of King Sigtrygg Silkbeard and a member of the Hiberno-Norse Uí Ímair dynasty.
